Learn the human side of photography.
You may have the technical skills to take good photos but can’t quite get the best out of people as subjects?
Can’t find the right words to explain a particular pose?
Not sure how to get a natural expression out of your subject?
How can you gain the confidence to know that the client will be satisfied with your photos?
Understanding the psychology of the person in front of your camera is key to a whole new level of great photographic work.
Great communication skill will enable you to work with people to capture that relaxed yet flattering pose, and your rapport with the subject will allow you to take great shots full of genuine emotions.
Lacking these skills in communication has held many photographers back from working with people as subjects. The confidence you gain can open up whole new areas of portrait, fashion and wedding photography.
The better you can communicate with your subject, the more enjoyable the process will be, and the easier it will be to reliably deliver emotion-rich photos to the satisfaction of the client and yourself.
During workshops you will learn how to:
- build a quick rapport with the people you photograph
- effectively communicate with the subject to get that desired shot
- use humour, praise and constructive feedback to raise the right mood at the right time
- identify and enhance the best features of your subject
- understand your client’s expectations of the final images
It takes more than great equipment to capture people’s personality.
