How to apply for Linkedin Live?
You don’t need a Premium account or any paid features but LinkedIn Live is only available for those who apply. This helps LinkedIn ensure that the broadcasted content is consistent and of the highest quality.
The good news is that the form takes only a few minutes to fill, the bad news is you might need to wait a few weeks for your application to get approved.

Applying for LinkedIn Live
Linkedin Live video streaming allows you to share videos with your network in real-time.
If you want to request access to become a live video broadcaster, you need to fill out the application HERE.
The form is self-explanatory. You will need to fill in the basic details such as your email, your profile URL, your location. If you have already streamed videos on other platform make sure to provide the link, and if you haven’t, make sure to describe your live streaming ideas as Linkedin is looking for members who will go live with compelling and interactive content on a consistent basis
If you’re applying to stream on behalf of a LinkedIn Page, don’t forget to include links of up to three of your Page Admins to stream on behalf of your Page. Will your Application get approved?
The Linkedin video broadcasting feature is currently in beta and available to LinkedIn Members and LinkedIn Pages who preferably have a significant LinkedIn audience and a history of creating quality video content.
LinkedIn Team review applications and prioritises approvals based on selection criteria, such as:
- Video and overall content creation history
- Audience size and engagement history
- Member or Page account has been in good standing
- Two Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled in account settings
Although Linkedin has these selection criteria, different members are experiencing different responses and waiting times from LinkedIn team. I encourage you to apply even if you haven’t posted any videos before.
